Pre Reg Positions (July 2019)

The Role

Our pre-reg pharmacists are a very important part of our pharmacy team. They are expected to support the pharmacist and technicians by bringing the knowledge they have gained during their degree and applying it to the day-to-day management of a community pharmacy. The pre-reg is expected to:

  • Deal with patient queries, either face to face or over the telephone
  • Liaise closely with our healthcare colleagues such as GP's, district nurses and receptionists to deliver a first class service
  • Accurately dispense and supply medications to our clients

The Team

We are a team of five pharmacists delivering a progressive pharmacy service to delight our clients. We have an unwavering focus on customer service and try to make sure that every contact counts. As well as dispensing prescriptions and providing advice, we also deliver these services:

  • Medicines Use Reviews (MUR)
  • New Medicines Service (NMS)
  • Methadone supervision
  • The "Morning After Pill" (EOHC)
  • Smoking Cessation clinics
  • Minor Ailments Service (aka Care at the Chemist)
  • Influenza Vaccinations (from September annually)

The Training

As well as a named, experienced tutor in each branch, we also ensure that our graduates receive the very best structured training by using our partners at Buttercups training. With a combination of face-to-face tutoring and access to comprehensive online resources, this is an excellent programme. This ensures that we receive feedback and support for our graduates of the highest quality. Further details on Buttercups can be found here:!opendocument

All of this is aimed at giving our graduate the best possible opportunity to pass the GPhC registration exam at the end of your year.
